Words
that Change Minds
Listen
to the ocean (of words) as you converse, and then swim with
the tide to new communication horizons!
Ever wondered why some people
really motivate themselves by goals and targets? Others take
action when you talk about problems and challenges. For
example someone might say “I want to go on holiday to relax
and get a great tan!” and someone else “I want to go on
holiday to get away from the daily routine!” the result a
holiday, the motivation is different.
Sometimes colleagues jump right
in and get on with things straight away others have to spend
time planning and thinking about what they should do.
What do you say to each person
to create a sense of urgency so that these very different
people pull together in project teams?
Words
that Change Minds
These are just two of fourteen,
easy to learn key language patterns occurring every day at
work. When you analyze the behavior you know exactly how to
respond to each individual. When we want influence someone
else we must first know the kind of language that really works
for them. Which words hit the spot so that they take note of
the message?
Language and Behavior Profiling
comes from research by Rodger Bailey and taken forward by Shelle

The LAB Profile is a tool to better
understand and influence people. It allows you to reveal
motivational preferences in everyday conversations. It enables
you to take a closer look at the filters of experience that
underlie their thought process. Peter Ibbs can deliver the LAB
Profile Practitioners and Master Practitioners workshops for
your organization.
